Breathing techniques for optimal health and vitality
Use these breathing techniques to rid yourself of unwanted toxins and enhance longevity
One of the keys to health and vitality is to have sufficient oxygen in our cells. Oxygen is required in order to create ATP (Adenosine TRI Phosphate). Without this hormone, our bodies will immediately shut down and cannot function.
Insufficient oxygen can result in anything from mild fatigue to life-threatening disease. Dr. Otto Warburg was awarded the Nobel Prize in 1931 and again in 1944 for discovering the cause of cancer. He said, "Cancer has only one prime cause. The prime cause of cancer is the replacement of normal oxygen respiration of body cells by an anaerobic (oxygen-less) cell respiration." Once the level of oxygen available to a cell drops below 60% of normal, the cell is forced to switch to an inferior method of energy production -- fermentation. The cell can never be returned to the proper oxidation system, and loses its governor on replication.
To get your body overflowing with oxygen, you must carryout activities that will put more of it into your bloodstream.
The two activities essential to boost the oxygen level in to your bloodstream are
Movement and Deep Breathing
By frequent physical movement the blood is carrying the oxygen around the cells and assists the body in removing waste products from both the bowels and the skin.
One of the best was of using physical movement to achieve energetic breathing is to perform Aerobic exercises. Aerobic means literally ‘with oxygen’ and refers to moderate exercise carried over a period of time. Exercises such as walking, swimming, dancing, jogging, biking etc can be aerobic as long as the exercise does not produce short bursts of energy. That of course refers to anaerobic exercise.
Deep breathing is when you are breathing air into the diaphragm. This means that we are able to open the lower lungs where the richest blood flow is. You do this by taking deep, slow breaths by pushing our stomachs outwards instead of breathing from our chest area.
